Canadian/American Asymmetry o Exports to other country as a share of GDP, investment from other country as a share of foreign investment, share of total exports going to other country, share of total imports coming from the other country  Canada’s % is significantly more than United States o The most important thing Canada has is the border with the US o Anything that slows down the goods that cross the border would be disastrous for Canada o Canada doesn’t simply coexist in North America with the US; dependent on the open market with the US to a level that is unprecedented between two countries in history of the world Parliament o The House of Commons is simply one of three branches o “Parliament” has three components: the Crown, the Senate and the House of Commons o Head of State: Queen Elizabeth II
