As soon as a cell doesn"t function properly it affects everything around it. What are the three main parts of the human cell: There are many different kinds of cells (6) cell diversity. Erythrocytes: red blood cell, no nucleus and last about 120 days. Some cells have 1, 2 or many nuclei. Muscles have many because you are always moving your muscles. Having many nuclei mean you have a highly functioning cell. The more complex compartments you have the better it is for a living organism. This is because it makes it harder for all intruders to make its way it, It will most likely be stopped at the first compartment. Mechanical barriers: separate two of the bodies fluid components. Selective permeability: determines manner in which substances enter or exit the cell. Electrochemical gradient: generates and helps to maintain the electrochemical gradient required for muscle and neuron function. Communication: allows cell to cell recognition and interaction.
