Regulation in ontario contains two key principles: family arbitration must be conducted according to the law of ontario, or any other jurisdiction (canada, the decision making process in its entirety must be in accordance to. Mediation must be conducted before any arbitration. If fails mediator must arbitrate the dispute and must make a binding decision: judges don"t have the ability to not make a decision in this case you must as the arbitrator. Arbitration award can be appealed: mistake of law, mistake of facts unaware of rights. Arbitrator must treat you equally and fairly: state you feel __ (based on your opinion) Arbitrator must have the appropriate and approved training. Each party must be screened separately for domestic abuse and power imbalances. Screening must be done by someone other than the arbitrator. Arbitrator must consider these screening results throughout the arbitration: this screening is binding to the arbitrator.
