Intelligence is the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills. General intelligence is broken into 3 parts : memory, reasoning, verbal skills. Verbal skills are the easiest way to fake intelligence. Problem solving is the most important feature of intelligence and will allow you to do anything. It is the process of finding solutions to difficult or complex issues. Reasoning is the action of thinking about something in a logical, sensible way. The average iq is currently 100, except it is expected to drop. Genetics are the best predictor of intelligence, and those people with lower ses typically have a lower iq. As well, these people have children sooner and have more of them. This is causing a regression to the mean. Raven"s progressive matrices a nonverbal group test typically used in educational settings. It is usually a 60-item test used in measuring abstract reasoning and regarded as a non-verbal estimate of fluid intelligence.
