Racist group action often justified with an ideology: doing the right thing , at times, also supported by laws. Racist theories: humans: with different origins" = races, racist theories and ideologies were manufactured by intellectuals". Francis galton - eugenics: mixing the races" is intolerable: superior genes contaminated, laws introduced to prevent mixing. Racist propaganda: black males represented as ravening beasts lusting after white women. Lynching the beasts" justified: the right thing to do. Extralegal executions for offenders": tortured to death. Racist laws to maintain blood purity": fear of sexual contamination (rape or marriage) The nuremberg laws 1935 and racial purity".
