Family violence includes many different forms of abuse that adults or children may experience in their intimate, kinship or dependent relationships. Family violence includes being mistreated or being neglected by family members. Common types of family violence are physical abuse, sexual abuse, and exploitation, neglect, psychological or emotion abuse and economic or financial abuse. There is no such thing as a family violence offence , rather people can be charged with particular offence such as: Failure to provide necessities of life and abandoning a child. Criminal negligence (including negligence causing bodily harm and death) Homicide (murder, attempted murder, infanticide, and manslaughter) Assault (causing bodily harm and/or with a weapon)
