Lack of opportunity for meaningful paricipaion in decision- making. This tacic assumes that the source of resistance lies in misinformaion or poor communicaion. Best used: lack of informaion, or inaccurate informaion. Prior to making a change, those opposed can be brought into the decision process. Best used: where iniiators lack informaion, and others have power to resist. Employee counselling and therapy, new-skills training, or a short paid leave of absence may facilitate adjustment. Best used: to help employees emoionally commit to the change. Establish trust in the managers implemening the change. Best used: when one has a more posiive relaionship with supervisors and who felt that the work environment supported development.
