To be able to effectively carry out hr planning: Organizations need a clear idea of the strengths and weaknesses of their existing internal labor force. They must know what they want to be doing in the future. What size they want the organization to be. What products and services it should be producing. Define the number and kinds of employees they will need. The process of human resource planning: determining the workload. The kind and magnitude of the workload determine the organizational structure, as well as the number and quality of employees needed to man the organization under a desirable level of performance.
