Political revolutions: the american revolution of 1776. A democratic constitution developed that begins with the famous phrase; "we the people". The authority of government and colonial rule doesn"t come from divine monarch but from the people themselves. Pre-modern to the modern: the french revolution of 1789. A break of order to overthrow the feudal estates system. The revolutionaries wanted to introduce a representative republic--an example of a form of democracy. The revolution descended into violence and utter chaos. Series of revolutions in europe around 1848: the russian revolution of 1917. Socialist revolutions favour the interest of the working class/proletariat: from a feudal aristocratic order to a capitalist order. The socialist revolutions try to move into a socialist world order. Capitalism for the most part has remained dominant in the world in economy and the way we live our lives still.
