Anterograde by copii, carries cargo & receptors (for soluble cargo) to golgi. Retrograde by copi, carries empty cargo receptors back to er. Not supposed to be recognized by copii, can sometimes leave by accident. Beta, gamma, delta, zeta homologous to ap1, parallel to adaptor proteins/inner subunit. Copii: inner subunit recognizes cargo, outer subunit curves membrane. Copi: outer subunit recognizes cargo & curves membrane.
