Understand social change - toe explain how africans understand environmentalism, hr, international global flows, etc. = people(cid:1685)s experiences have been very diverse over time. 3 themes: africa & press + role of anthropology - how it has challenged stereotype of men & women, multidimensionality of people, flows, institutions (historical perspective, social culturural changes (topics) * film journal - november 15th : three entires, on per film marked with an * in the syllabus. 500 words each, so 1500 for my journal.
