Class discussions on homework analysis due for today: Help reader understand the concept more and not confuse the reader. Provide explicit examples of concepts for in-depth understandings. A lot of textbooks provide theory but not many strategies a textbook chapter should provide strategies. Barcodes for links or website links for videos on strategies provides further understanding. A textbook chapter should stand on its own as a resource and additional links should just be complementary. At the end of the chapter it would be helpful to have classroom discussions or activities to complete. Case study at the beginning of the chapter (real life stories) Main purpose should be to guide reader. A blog section for teachers to share their experiences in the classroom (if online textbook) Reactions depend on the flow of the textbook: whether it is too long (causes it to be a boring read) or whether the vocabulary is too difficult causes reader to not understand .
