Instead of consolation we get a kind of fetishization. Sylvia stole death from her (love triangle between sexton, plath and death) Death is sexualized, something that both poets wear on their skinny breasts (quote) Sexton is creating a poetic community from sylvia"s death. Both daddy and sylvia"s death present a relationship between poetry and death. In sexton"s poem acknowledges gap between what language can communicate and how she feels. Repetition as if it would make sense of the emotion, clarify it. Bracketed sections - set sections apart (supplemental to poem) but also draw attention to their content by sectioning them off. Goes from being a modernist to a post modernist.
