The pastoral world is a very shady one. Georgics: very dark mood, decline form golden age to iron age. Need more effort and work to hold together. Farmers parallel with augustus and god: they have to fight with the force of disorder. Book 1: end in despair after caesar dies. Book 2: opening with the sense of golden age. Line 150 of all climax, it has the perfect one and the perfect people . Line 458 p67: the life of farmers is the restoration of the golden age. Separation of these two lives instead of being the same as in book 1. Farmers are so lucky because they live in the nature world instead of in cities. White clothes are purer than purple clothes, it is a sign of purity. Wearing a dyed clothes is a sign of over ambition. A simple pleasure / life does not need luxuries.
