We must adapt new worldviews (biocentrism, ecocentrism, deep ecology etc) There is an ethical intuition about wrong actions. Ask whether the existence of something would be better than its non-existence. The issue is the person"s character, not the action itself. Understanding our role and place in the universe. Humans should cherish that which helps us survive. Benevolence involves compassion, friendliness, kindness and generositya benevolent person strives to promote the good of others. Imaginative indwelling helps us relate to others and then act in their interest. Benevolence must be extended to all life, which requires protecting abiotic things. Greed and jealousy are environmental vices which lead to exploiting and trying to control nature. Laziness causes a lack of effort to understand the environment. Challenges the idea that man must sacrifice himself to others . Man does not need to be responsible for others. Man is entitled to his own happiness and self-esteem.
