Document Summary

Marsh disease: because of the association of the disease with marshes. Once they form the vacuole, they start to multiply, and they form the schizont. After the schizont form, it escapes from the hepatocyte into the merozoite formation. Then it is released to the blood system. Erythrocyte binding antigen and duff-binding antigen are important for infection of rbc. Attachment and junction formation is mediated by attachment of different compounds based on the parasite. After the ring form matures it becomes the trophozoite (there is also formation of the food vacuole, where you have the formation of the hemozoin). Heme is toxic for the parasite, so the parasite removed it by polymerizing it to form hemozoin crystals that have a brownish colour. After you have more division of the parasite, you have the schizont. Then there is rupture of the rbc and release of the merozoites. Malaria becomes sexually reproductive once warm human blood cools in the mosquito.
