Point 1 leads to activation, point 2 leads to survival, point 3 leads to differentiation of the t cell. Interaction of the apc and the t cell. Epitope is bound to mhc and presented to the t-cell via the tcr (t- cell receptor). Antigen-specific cells are activated in the lymphoid tissues. B cell receptor = bcr = antibody =~ immunoglobulin. Antibodies (abs) can bind to a small component of the antigen, but not the entire thing.
