o Guest speakers may share sensitive information, thus classes are not recorded

o Note that many aspects are built on last semester course (Primary Healthcare)
o Ex. Health promotion
- In-class discussions
o Follow principles of safety, respect and reflection
o Need to recognize that oppression exists, ‘isms’ exist, and thus everyone has misinformation
about specific communities as a result
o Always Assume Positive Intent (API)
§ People are doing the best they can to take responsibility for own learning about ‘others’
instead of blaming others
- Weekly Class Preparation
o There is a “course weekly plan” on MyCourses
o Required Readings per class
o Participation marks given for each class (5%)
- Grading scheme: see course outline
o No in-class midterm, instead take-home essay (35%)
o Final exam during exam period in April
