Its members are governed by codes of ethics and profess a commitment to competence, integrity and morality, altruism, and the promotion of the public good within their domain. Professions and their members are accountable to those served and to society . In conclusion, nursing is a profession and we have some obligations towards the society. These are only what the faculty and student handbook enumerated but there might be many more. Our discipline grows through research; this is how any discipline grows.
