Women: the excess bofy fat disrutps menstrual regularity and ovarian hormone production. Adequate/balanced diet: malnutirtuion reduces fertility and impairs the early development of an infant-> healthy diet w monounsaturated fats instead of trans fats, vegetable protein instead of animal proteins, and low glycemic carbohydrates instead of simple sugars. Men should eat an antioxidant rich diet= increases sperm count and motility. Avoid alchohol drugs smokin that can lead to miscarriages, abnormalitites, and interfere w fertility. Placenta: develops in the uterus due to the interweaving of the maternal and fetal blood vessels.
