Erosion of corporatist deciton-making model, transfer of decision-making to supranational institutions. Emigration from europe completely revised within a few short decades. Reconstruction after the war required cheap labour; fall of the iron curtain opened the door to. Economic migrants subsumed by illegal human traf cking, war torn & failed states. Populism, already reacting against globalization, has increasingly reacted against immigration. Add in random terrorist attacks, faltering welfare states, and europe faces a serious crisis.
