Feminism could arguably not be called an ideology. But lets look at it through 3 terms. Describes the form of feminism where men societally oppress women. This sameness approach argues that fundamentally men an women should be treated the same. To humanists a social order is sexist if it treats women differently from men. They believe in the gender blind approach no matter the situation. This form of feminism defines the oppression of women very differently. Arguing that women and men are different that women have distinct values distinct views and experience. They describe the oppression of women as a society or system that devalues these base female values. This form of feminism sees oppression as being denied the recognition of female values and experiences. Ginocentric feminist say that it isn"t enough to provide equal opportunity or sameness but they want specific female positions to be recognized.
