Access to power is split on ethnic groups, class, etc. In developing nations, there is a larger misogyny-related gap than in developed nations. Over time, things tend to get better although government has lagged behind markedly. Unlike class and ethnicity, gender is rarely a basis for major political cleavage. There are no parties (major ones) based just on the issue of gender, because as an identity it is different. Socially genders are more embedded with eachother than class or ethnic groups often are. Generally younger people have more positive opinions of equal rights. Women socialize and are key factors, making a difference in opinion. Strategic are about gender equality like equal pay, greater representations, etc. Practical are around improving daily lives of women like maternal and child healthcare. Can actually pull away from power because it could strengthen the spheres view. Social attitudes about public and private spheres reinforce these views.
