1) Liberal
Freedom is no external constraints > Physical and Extended (threat of
torture, etc.)
Laws can limit Freedom.
However, some laws can protect liberal freedom
Bill of Rights
protection from harmful actions by another
2) Republican
Freedom is the ability to live under self-legislated Law
Gave consent, express or tacit
3) Spiritual
Self-mastery; freedom from internal constraints
Freedom: not subject to the will of another
Authoritarian
