Romeo saganash (indigenous mp) adopted into canada (but nothing really implemented) Court didn"t actually do it, it was pushed for by indigenous mps. 2009: at g20, it"s said that canada has no history of colonialism. 4 women started doing teach-ins to draw awareness to bill c-45. Omnibus bill c-45 removed a lot of environmental regulations in regards to the water, river and lakes. Brings forward changes that will reduce threshold that allows for. On reserve, issue that exists with this bill is that in case of divorce, property goes to member of community. It did not do was it was marked to do. No funding for communities to fix their water systems. Indigenous communities not involved with building of water systems; issues with water (rashes, etc. ) Inac will take money from communities to bring water in communities up to standards up to standards.
