Document Summary

The theology graduate students were the population that was selected. The variable that was manipulated was how much time they were told they had and what is the dependent variable in this experiment is whether the subjects help somebody or not. They simply measured whether people stopped or not. Also. you could measure whether the heart rate was increased or not as a reaction, you could measure if they did eye contact with the person. There are a number of things that might be relevant here and they might give us information as to the nature of the interaction between the subject and the experimenter"s colleague. That is if you try to figure out whether the source of behavior in humans in particular comes from something that is innate or whether they"re product of environment. Sort of the genetics versus the environment argument. Behavior and thoughts arise from the organic biological materialist brain.
