Being neurotic is the best predictor of marital dissatisfaction and divorce. Personality dispositions are meaningful constructs that predict behaviour overtime and across circumstances. People are also highly sensitive to social context, and most conform to social norms. Personality reflects both underlying dispositions and the activation and emotional responses in given situations. People from different cultures can interpret questions differently.
