Autonomic responses facilitate fight or flight behaviours and provide quick mobilization of energy for vigorous movement. Hormonal responses these are signalled through blood, reinforce the autonomic responses. All these reactions/behaviours are choreographed via the central nucleus of the amygdala, and this sends info to various brain structures which control the varying emotional responses: the amygdala, medial nucleus controls sex, aggression behaviours.
