Document Summary
Autonomic responses facilitate fight or flight behaviours and provide quick mobilization of energy for vigorous movement. Hormonal responses these are signalled through blood, reinforce the autonomic responses. All these reactions/behaviours are choreographed via the central nucleus of the amygdala, and this sends info to various brain structures which control the varying emotional responses: the amygdala, medial nucleus controls sex, aggression behaviours. The output is through the central nucleus, and its activations elicits emotional reactions. Damage high up along the spinal cord. Only serves to amplify the effect of emotional responses, not wholly responsible: communication of emotions: Predator animals are not afraid to display pain, as they are generally not susceptible to attack. The right hemisphere is primarily involved in recognizing emotions in voice or facial expressions, especially negative emotions. Water is attracted to salt and vice-versa, and the saltiest part of the body is within cells.
