Ex: need to process of cue- red= left/green= right. *if probe present at 100 ms later = no gain in response time from endogenous/symbolic cues but. Gain in response from exogenous/peripheral cue: top-down endogenous control. Attention = voluntarily directed towards stimuli relevant to for spotlight attention.
