Light: visual light is a very narrow bend. If you"re wearing a black suit, the suit completely absorbs the light. When light enters the atmosphere, much of it is absorbed or scattered and never makes it to the perceiver. Why we see the sky as blue: the particles of light being scattered are smaller wavelength. Light can be absorbed, scattered, reflected, absorbed, transmitted or refracted. Transmitted = passes through a certain surface or a material that completely transmits it. Light will go through travelling in the air to the glass and to the air when entering a window. Refracted = light still goes through the medium but is altered or bended in a certain direction. Energy that is altered as it passes into another medium. The eye: human eye is made up of: Thin transparent membrane or window that allows light to enter the eye. Aqueous humor: watery fluid in the anterior chamber right behind the cornea.
