The ability to mentally imagine an event does not mean the memory of it is accurate. These people have no visual imagery at all. When they think about someone, they can"t picture them and they struggle to describe them. Our brains are generally left lateralized for language. Some aspects of language are supported by the right hemisphere. Particular left hemisphere regions are specialized for particular language functions. Ranges from deficits in generating meaningful speech (agrammatical) to generating all forms of speech depending on the amount of damage. Writing is affected also, but to a lesser degree. Autopsy revealed large lesion in the posterior inferior frontal gyrus. The man who can only say yes or no. Stroke that resulted in an inability to express himself via language except for using two words: "yes" or "no" Still able to understand everything said to him. Brains of early aphasia cases (e. g. , tan) preserved in alcohol and in paris museum.
