Personality: definition: the characteristic patterns of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that make a person unique. The standard normal distribution: e = extroversion. Trait adjectives associated with the big five: e = tendency to be outgoing, sociable, and assertive. I = tendency to be inward turning, or focused more on internal thoughts, feelings and moods rather than seeking out external stimulation. Question of the day: how can we (start to) describe an individual"s personality, going beyond extroversion & introversion. Random traits: quiet opposite of talkative, relaxed opposite of neurotic. But in many studies where fa was done, you can boil down all of those adjective to 5 broad dimensions of personality, including bipolar ranging from one extreme to the other extreme.
