There is much more diversity to sw we dont only remove children. You are not giving them your best if you are burnt out. Social workers have high case loads which is challenging and affects time you have with clients (getting to know clients) a solution to this is self care. Self carenot only an individual responsibility, you wont be doing a good job for your clients of you don"t take care of yourself. Ifsw-international federation of social work: service, social justice - social change on vulnerable and needed communities. Defined as:- looking at ones quality of life. Lack of opportunities- less life expectancy. - financial, emotional psychological stressors. Government- income up to a certain amount.
