Chukchee of siberia, hunter and gatherers, move with their reindeer herds. They live in temporary camps upto 100 people. Frequently hosting men of other chuckchee inorder to trade particular trade items. What is considered to be the norm in this society is extra-martial sex is expected. In this culture, women are perceived more as property. So they are the property of the male to whom they are married. If you are a good host, and you have men visit you for trade, you give them a place to stay, be generous, and give them to your wife. It is socially accepted for your wife to engage sexual relations with the guest. It is a means of establishing good relations and it is considered a marker of male generosity.
