Post colonialism- the looking back and the understanding the nature and the actions of colonialism. The ghost dance it was banned in the colonial period. Pine ridge december 29 1890 1 hour 150 indigenous killed 50 wounded and for the government 25 killed and 39 wounded. This was when the lakota stood up to the governemtn in rebellion. The people that came in during colonialism they tried to break apart the fabric by taking away tradition, being racist etc. they tried to take away the agency of the people. Agency can be lost or regained through different events. There are people who go on hunger strike. But there is also collective resistance as well so that they can regain agency. In 1963- there were this change where there was resistance for the change for human rights.
