How do cultural illnesses go into the psychological book, etc. - Adhd- only our culture demands and active body and in our culture inattentive bodies are problematic bodies- if we didn"t view it as an issue we wouldn"t consider it an issue. Diets, environmental factors (i. e. not smoking)- there is a certain amount of control we have over our body to prevent particular illnesses (fasting, praying) Who can be healers/ religious healers- we have medical doctors/ chiropractors/ naturopaths , but we have a hierarchy of healers- Ohip doesn"t cover physio or chiro, if ohip only covers md doctor then it is the most preferred and accurate .
