Koch"s postulates: developed a how to to identify whether or not a microbe is the cause of a disease, 1. Must be found in all diseased individuals (and not in health ones: had to find the same microorganism in all the infected individuals, 2. Can be maintained in a pure culture: 3. Using that culture, can produce an original infection rom culture (so probably an animal: had to be reproducible, 4. After the inoculation, you have to see it in the blood (and still remains culturable)
