A diaspora is a large group of people with a similar heritage or homeland who have since moved out to places all over the world. The term diaspora comes from an ancient greek word meaning to scatter about . A case study: the burning of the jews. People move around the world, but so does their culture with them. A widely dispersed community as a result of a natural disaster, politics, and disease. Developed along trade routes, trying to maintain their own food, clothing, etc. culture, bring it to the new place of residence. Population in crisis: factors that lead up to the persecution of the jews. Lots of factors leading up to black death. Rapidly in ating pricing due to food shortage. Reduced immunity due to food shortage, creating malnutrition and a place for black death.
