Often placed with large amounts of cinebar, a red metal covering their body, funerary mask exists on the face. The maya elite: pakal had a shaped skull. The shaping of skull as babies is a common practice among maya. An elongated skull is made through attatching 2 boards on each side of the skull [ front and back] .
