Many people, especially young children and women are going through that every single day. They go through verbal, physical and sexual abuse by their managers in sweatshops, which also impact them mentally. Sweatshops are the places where your shoes, clothes, rugs, toys, chocolates, bananas, coffees and other everyday necessities come from. Almost everything we use during our daily lives may have been made in sweatshops, somewhere halfway across the world. I spend all day on my feet, working with hot vapor that usually burns my skin, and by the end of the day my arms and shoulders are in pain, a mexican worker, alvaro.
