Document Summary

We start off with a healthy forest, then it is exposed to some sort of disturbance, reorganization takes place. This cause a drop in diversity and abundance of species growing there. Rapid growth and recovering quickly takes over. Transition phase occurs, eventually, the ecosystem"s biomass stabilizes again. We start with some space available for colonization. Then species come in and occupy the area, species able to survive as adults establishes the area and is successful. These form a colony/community, they also modify the habitat. Facilitation the species that came first find themselves at an early advantage initially due to the lack of competition, but soon they notice that the environment is not fitting and are less adapted to the area. Other species will eventually discover this area and colonize, thus the initial species are at an even greater disadvantage and soon die out.
