Nucleoplasmin is a histone chaperone for histones h2a-h2b a domain in the tail specifies transport of nucleoplasmin (pentamer) into the nucleus. Npc is responsible for mediating communication by regulating the transport of rna and proteins. The nuclear pore complex cell has a scanner that identifies the proteins trying to get in nuclear pore doesn"t do this recognition by itself - does it via mediator. Signal (nls) this molecule recognizes the proteins going into the nucleus. Simian vacuolating virus (sv40) is a protein that can get into the nucleus - is bad but can have benefits to model what recognizes and goes into the nucleus. Sv40 genome: 4 genes what"s good about this virus? has 4 proteins. T-antigen required for viral genome replication: it interacts with cell cycle proteins (retinoblastoma) and allows itself to replicate viral dna and forces host cells to do the same.
