Has few similarities to the old one, everything razed down to foundation blocks kept the same 100 foot- round number pleasing to gods. Named after its architect the hekatompedon was replaced approx. 100 years after it was built by the rhoikos temple. 8 columns east, 21 columns flank, 10 columns west opening and inviting. If rhoikos had torus capitals then the use of the column capital at delos is odd and associate the origin of the ionic capital more closely with the cyclades and delos. Such a large monumental temple surprising that it was short-lived perhaps never completed but left in construction. 8x24 columns, but 9 columns at west end.
