Definition of organization: organizations are social inventions for accomplishing common goals through group efforts. Concept of organizational behaviour: organizational behaviour refers to the attitudes and behaviors of individuals and groups in organizations. What does organizational behaviour study: 1)the attitudes and behaviours mentioned in the concept. 2)how organizations can be structured more effectively and how events in their external environments affect organizations. Fields of organizational behaviour: understanding people and managing them to work effectively, how organizations can survive and adapt to the change, how to get people to practice effective teamwork. Goals of organizational behaviour: effectively predicting, explaining, adn managing behaviour that occurs in organizations. Definition of management: management is defined as the art of getting things accomplished in organizations. And managers acquire, allocate and utilize physical and human resources to accomplish goals. Concept of classical viewpoint: the classical viewpoint tends to advocate a very high degree of specialization of labour and a very high degree of coordination.
