Use the 10 management strengths and the six killer constraints to diagnose and improve management behavior. Describe the four facets of emotional intelligence. Every system or process has one of a few weaknesses that prevent it from achieving maximum performance. Moderate constraints: things that get in your way. Solution: delegation offset your weakness so you don"t have to do everything yourself. Major constraints: can derail your personal life & professional success e. g. dishonesty, low self-control, and lack of self-confidence. Managers should only have 1 (or: constraints of this severity and should work to solving them. Minor constraints: don"t affect your management ability e. g. coworker is introverted ( not a constraint on performance). The 6 common weaknesses that managers have. You can"t respect/connect to people like that if you work for someone who doesn"t feel good enough. Lack of (self) confidence/self-esteem fear of insecurity/disapproval/failure.
