Consists of three bodies; 1. house of commons (338 members; all ridings have 100k ppl) Can only sit for 5 years, election is every 4 years but can be ignored or re appeal. However, it can extend more than 5 yrs if 2. 3 agrees: senate: 105 members, 105 offices. Make 150k a year: governor general; must sign every law in the house of commons and senate. Legitimate actions of government; on behalf of canadians. There are things known as private laws, that deal with private things; ex; mac was created by private statute, that law applies to only mac and no one else.
