Volcanoes are most powerful thing on earth. Lava builds up on one side of the crater and cools but then it moves down from the lots action below and the crust sinks back down. This affects the planet of global scale. This rebuilds the earth"s surface. (formation of earth) impacts of rock produced lots of heats. And when they got trapped, it was extremely hot in the core. This is what fuels volcano to this day. Iceland you can see the inner heat transform the surface of the earth. Magma lies very deep, in iceland its much closer. 12 miles beneath iceland is superheated rock called plume. Plume rises up and heats the hot springs and created iceland it self. 1963 it shows how it may mav happened. Volcanoes just below surface erupted out of the water. It produced enough magma to create an island. Where oceans pull apart, you get lots of basalt.
