The poetry quiz was the trickiest quiz of the quizzes. Nov. 2-4"s quiz is on: the story of an hour and the yellow wallpaper . How words hold together and how they are used: Prose- language in its most ordinary form, without the metrical structure. A chapter generally introduces a new idea or setting. Usually one person is telling it (point of view) Central or core idea/theme that the characters act around to narrate" the story. The singleness (singularity) of it is like a revelation. Does not have a finale or clear ending. * a short story is a glimpse (uncertainty) * a poem/sonnets/short stories come as one package instead of little parcels. * we see connections and similar experiences in a short story and we unintentionally connect them to ourselves. * a short story and poem unfolds in space. Like a painting (looking at in once and seeing it all) There is not just a surface meaning generally either.
