I. e. humans exist within the environment + our actions have implications. Made up of interconnected systems including: the atmosphere, the hydrosphere, the lithosphere and the biosphere. Can be seen from space [thin blue region along the edge of earth] Made up of a mixture of gas molecules, small solid/liquid suspended particles + falling precipitation. Includes the gaseous part of earth from its surface to the exosphere [atmosphere merges with space] Hydrosphere liquid realm contains fresh, salt, snow and ice frozen part is sometimes called the cryosphere.
