Good heritage planning is good planning - jennifer keesmaat (chief planner of toronto) Glen abbey golf course: high concentration of indigos sites, saw mill, religious retreat, want to put apartments & town houses, oakville wasn"t stoked - called it heritage area. Settled by loyalists at turn of 19th century. Areas settled around natural features (waterfalls etc) All settled along wilson st for transportation &community.
